2013 in the media center!

We are off to a great start for 2013!

Mrs. Daigre's Class - 100th day of school
  • The kindergarten classes have used digital cameras to take pictures of words that begin with "the letter of the week". The pictures were collected in a powerpoint that is posted on the media center technology page (http://mymediacenter.wikispaces.com/home). Take a look at them! They are so creative with their photography!
  • First grade students have been reading and participating in our Accelerated Reader program. They are also practicing their keyboarding skills with some help from a website featured on the Media Center Home Page.
  • Second grade students have explored our PebbleGo Social Studies database (provided by our fabulous PTA). They are gathering information that will be used in creating a powerpoint presentation.
  • Third grade students are also using the PebbleGo database to learn more about American government. They are practicing note taking skills.
  • Our fourth graders are focusing on the American Revolution. Their information will be shared via a Voki. The Vokis will soon be published on the media center technology wiki.
  • Fifth graders are studying World War II. The war lasted six years. The students are sifting through a lot of information to find the key points that are most important to them. Each student will create a concise multimedia presentation
