100 AR points

This 4th grader already has 100 AR points! She is a fabulous reader! Congratulations!

AR is an abbreviation for Accelerated Reader. AR is a computer based program that checks the comprehension of the reader. The student reads a book and takes a short quiz. If the student passes the test, points are earned. Teachers are able to monitor the progress of the readers in the classroom with the help of AR.

Parents can monitor their children's progress with the help of Home Connect available at https://hosted224.renlearn.com/52151/HomeConnect.

Mrs. Brannan's and Mr. Dowd's 4th grade classes are using technology to enhance their writing! The students are creating picture books with the help of storyjumper.com. One student, E.A., stated that creating the books was fun and it might make someone want to become an author!
